  Step 1. Choose the right affiliate program for you. Choosing a great affiliate program is half the battle, if you choose a well converting program, with an excellent product and sales material you are more likely to be successful. Look for an affiliate program with a high commission percentage, some programs pay very little but the good ones can pay up to 100% so look for those on the high end of the scale. Make sure the program you choose has a killer sales page, they could pay you 200% but if the sales page stinks you won’t make a dime. Make sure the company can be contacted, send a test email to the contact address on the site and see how quickly they respond. Above all use your head, if it looks too good to be true it probably is.

  Step 2. Cloak your affiliate links. It is very easy to lose commissions without cloaked links, if people interested in buying the product you are selling know the actual referral link, they can just sign up for the affiliate program themselves and buy from their own affiliate link resulting in them getting a heck of a discount on the product and you getting nothing for your efforts.   Step 4. Promote your affiliate products and make money. There are numerous ways to promote affiliate products, the methods you use will depend on your knowledge and interests. If you are a good writer, you can submit articles with your cloaked affiliate links included, write ebooks laced with your links, write ads pointing to your links, newsletters, etc. If you are good at web design and SEO, you could build authority and membership sites with content leading to your links. If you are photogenic, or just a ham, you could make videos demonstrating a product or something silly with your links embedded and upload them to Utube.
